Respectable Sins, which can distract us.
February 8 - March 28. 6:30-7:30pm in the FBCSmyrna Auditorium.
Have Christ followers become so preoccupied with "major" sins that we have lost sight of our need to deal with more subtle sins? We will address the “acceptable” sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves which can lead to major distractions for a disciple. We will go to the heart of the matter, exploring our feelings of shame and grief and opening a new door to God's forgiveness and grace. What makes a Disciple?...who impacts their neighbors?
What makes a Disciple...who impacts those around them?
April 11-May 9. 6:30-7:30pm in the FBCSmyrna Auditorium.
Gain insight and encouragement to help you grow as a true disciple of Christ by learning to share the blessings you've received from God. Discussing:
- What Is a Disciple?
- The Responsible Steward
- Helping Others Find Christ
- Establishing
- World Vision
Then learn to apply this insight as you experience life in America. While it is fast approaching warp speed; there’s so much to do and so little time! Families barely get to see one another—even dinner is often simply a matter of grabbing some food and eating on the run. Instead of us managing our lives, life seems to manage us. This course is based on a successful pilot outreach program at Oak Hills Church, and is a five part series designed to help Christians get back to the things that really count, like the importance of sitting around the dinner table together!
