Creative Learning Center

Welcome to the Creative Learning Center! We are excited that you are interested in our program. The Creative Learning Center is a Christ-centered program designed to offer a comfortable first step into the world of group education for young children.  The Creative Learning Center is an integral part of the preschool ministry of LifePoint Church at FBCSmyrna.

The first day of school for the 2011-2012 school year was August 8 for Monday/Wednesday and Pre-K children and August 9 for Tuesday/Thursday children.

Our Purpose

The mission of the program is to utilize the full resources of LifePoint Church at FBCSmyrna and the community in providing programs designed to meet the developmental needs (spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual and social) of children and provide an effective ministry to their families.

Ages

The Creative Learning Center has classes for children ages six months through five years of age.  Children must be six months old by September 30 to participate in the Mother’s Day Out (MDO) program.  All three year olds must be potty trained. We offer for children 4 and 5 years old, a four day Pre K program.

For the 2011-2012 school year, CLC offers the following programs:

Mothers Day Out - 2-Day Program

Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Class placement is based on the child’s age as of September 30, 2011.  All children three years old and up must be potty trained.

Pre-K – 4-Day Program

This program is for children who will be going to kindergarten the next fall. It is our Pre k teachers goal to fully prepare them for their formal education. Classes meet Monday – Thursday from 9:00 – 2:00.

Admission

A registration form must be submitted for your child to be considered for admission.  If there are no openings available, your child can be placed on a waiting list.  You will be contacted as soon as a place becomes available.  All other forms must be turned into our office before the first day your child is to attend CLC. For Pre K you must have a CURRENT updated shot record on file before the first day of school.

*Fees are set on a 10 month pay scale, not on a set number of days per month. The registration fee for any program is non refundable.

Registration fees are due at the time of enrollment and are non-refundable.  Tuition is due the first month of school, August – May.

The Creative Learning Center follows the Rutherford County School districts calendar. We are closed on all holidays and breaks, including inclement weather closings. We are also closed on County Early Dismissal Days. A copy of the Rutherford County School Calendar is available on their website.
