Our mission here at LifePoint is to point people to a Christ-centered life. Our passion is that you would worship Jesus, focus your life on Jesus and grow to be like Jesus in character, priorities and behavior. But how can you, a more-or-less ordinary person, become like the Son of God? How do you get from where you are to where you need to be?
One way you can become like Jesus and live for Him is to practice spiritual disciplines. Now don't let that term scare you! Though it sounds very regimented and academic, it's really not! Spiritual disciplines are merely small things you can intentionally to open yourself to God's work of conforming you to the image of Christ.
Spiritual disciplines include things you can build into the ongoing pattern of your life—things like Bible reading, prayer, worship, service and generosity. These and other actions will nourish your relationship with God and will give you some tools for a lifetime of spiritual growth. As you practice spiritual disciplines over time, God will do His work of spiritual transformation in you to help you become a more Christ-centered follower who re?ects the character and mission of King Jesus.
